Christmas, and particularly the months leading up to it, are our busiest time of year. From September, our diary starts to fill up with school recordings all over the UK.
Why record a Christmas CD?
Christmas, or the Michaelmas term, is a great time to record a CD. For a start there is such a wealth of excellent music and Christmas is a time to be singing. The chances are, your school is already planning a Christmas Concert and / or Fair and probably a nativity or similar production too. So with so much music already going on, why not capture the moment and record a CD. Not only will you be doing something your pupils will remember and can treasure for the rest of their lives, but your school will also benefit financially from the sales too.
As well as being a fantastic opportunity for your pupils to record their very own professional CD and be stars for the day, there is also a lot of scope for your school to raise lots of money either for the school or for charities close to your school or community.
Our business model allows you to make anything from a few hundred pounds to many thousands. Furthermore to increase your earning potential with us, the more CDs you buy the cheaper they become. Most primary schools order between 200 and 300 CDs – obviously depending on how big your school is. But even based on 200 CDs selling for £10 each you will make £500 profit for your school.
When to Book
There is no right or wrong time to book your CD recording session with Recordings 4 Schools. But the sooner you get in touch the more availability we will have. Lots of schools naturally want to record as late a possible in the term but still take delivery of the CDs in time for the Christmas concerts and fairs as these are great times to sell them.
The majority of our recordings therefore take place in October and November. We will sometimes record in the first week or so of December just because we get so booked up. So the earlier you book then more choice of dates there will be.
